Terms and Conditions for Services

This document outlines the binding agreement between the property owner/representative, hereby identified as the “Client,” and Pristine Wash Ltd, including its agents, owners, employees, and subcontractors, hereby identified as the “Company.” This agreement covers the execution of pressure washing services in exchange for payment.

Quote Validity

Quotes provided by Pristine Wash Ltd are valid for 7 days from the date of issuance.

The "10% Discount" Offer: Explained

Our special offer provides a total discount value equivalent to 10% of your chosen services. This overall discount amount is then proportionally distributed across each individual service within your package.

Here's how it works:

  • You get a 10% discount on the sum of the discounts applied to your services. This means we calculate the full discount potential for all your chosen services, and then apply 10% of that total.

  • This 10% value is then split. We divide that calculated discount value across each service, so every service contributes to your overall savings. For example:

    • If you select two services, your total 10% discount value is equally split, meaning each service effectively receives 5% off its individual price.

    • If you select four services, your total 10% discount value is equally split, so each service effectively receives 2.5% off its individual price.

  • Maximum Savings: The total combined discount applied to your services will not exceed $100. This cap applies to the overall saving, ensuring you always know the maximum benefit you can receive.

Deposits and Cancellations

Upon approval of the quote, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Should you need to reschedule or cancel your service, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations: If you cancel your cleaning at least 3 business days before your scheduled date, a 25% rescheduling fee will be applied to your deposit. The remaining 25% of the deposit will be refunded.

  • Date Changes: If you request a date change, please do so at least 3 business days before your scheduled cleaning. We will do our best to accommodate your request free of charge, based on availability.

  • Late Cancellations/No-Shows: We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made within 3 business days of the scheduled cleaning. However, any remaining balance following the 25% rescheduling fee can be applied towards a future cleaning. There is a $250 cancellation fee if notice is not given within 24 hours of service, or if the Company arrives at the property and cannot perform the wash due to the "On the Day of Service" requirements (listed below) not being met.

Permissions

The Client or their representative agrees to allow the Company access to the property for the purpose of cleaning services. The Client understands that set timeframes may vary due due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, vehicle maintenance, machine maintenance, or technician illness), and multiple visits to the property may be required.

The Company also has permission to visit the property with notice to the Client to assess service needs prior to the date of service, as well as to check completion after services have been rendered.

The Client agrees to allow the Company to utilise their water source via an outdoor tap, which must be turned on and easily accessible on the date of service. If on well water, or if in an area with low water pressure or volume, the Client agrees to cease all water consumption inside the property (including faucets, dishwashers, washing machines, outdoor sprinklers, and similar systems) while the Company is carrying out its duties.

Acknowledgment of Risks and Release of Liability

Pressure washing involves the use of a mixture of soft, medium, and high-pressure water, as well as various chemicals, to clean exterior surfaces. Pristine Wash Ltd technicians are well-trained in operating their equipment and take the utmost precautions to prevent harm to your property.

While high pressure is not typically used during our "Soft Washes," damage can still occur due to poor maintenance, neglect of the property, and/or low-grade building materials. Homeowners should consult with their homebuilder to ensure that their home's materials are suitable for pressure washing. It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure that their property has been maintained in accordance with its manufacturer's recommendations and any defects or areas of concern are repaired prior to washing to ensure a watertight surface. The Homeowner assumes all these risks and takes responsibility for any damage that occurs due to the aforementioned explanations.

During the quotation process, the Company will conduct a walk-around of the property and provide the Client with a written examination of any pre-existing damage. This document is not all-encompassing, as new damage can become apparent while surfaces are being cleaned. When new damage is found, the Company will cease all cleaning efforts until the Client can see the damage and acknowledge its existence.

The Client also agrees to release the Company from any or all liability for injuries sustained due to equipment placement, including injuries from tripping/falling, striking equipment, falling debris, or equipment.

On the Day of Service

To ensure a smooth service and to avoid additional charges, please ensure the following on the day of service:

  • You are expected to be home at least at the end of our work to participate in the final walk-through of the service, as well as to fulfill the payment. Unless an agreement has been made prior.

  • Please do not book other tradespeople/services on the same day. This will disrupt the performance of both.

  • Please inform our team about any areas that need special care or should be avoided, especially for issues related to water seepage or leakage.

  • Please ensure that you have a water tap activated and accessible.

  • If you are having a House Wash, Roof Cleaning, or Window Cleaning, please have all windows and doors shut tightly. Make sure they are properly sealed to avoid water coming through.

  • Please have all pets and children indoors before and during cleaning – even though we love pets and children, we cannot be responsible for their safety while we are working.

  • Please clear the work areas of all items, and remove all sensitive materials from the areas being cleaned, such as furniture, doormats, and other similar items.

  • Please remove all vehicles from the driveway and street parking in front of the property so our team can work freely.

  • Please avoid using water during our Pressure Cleaning Services to ensure no loss of pressure or volume.

  • Payment is due on completion of work, unless an agreement is made prior.

Exclusions

  • If any of the "On the Day of Service" conditions above are not met, an additional charge of $150 will be added.

  • The Company is not responsible for water intrusion. While every effort is made to prevent this, bad seals around windows and doors, and cracks in concrete foundations, can make this unavoidable.

  • The Company is not responsible for the rare "fogging" effect that happens to multi-pane windows with bad seals.

  • This agreement to provide services is in no way a guarantee that all stains will be removed completely. The Company strives for 100% customer satisfaction and will work with homeowners when complete removal does not occur.

  • Notify the Company if there are any surfaces on or near the home that cannot have any form of detergent on them. If the Company is not notified, The Company is not responsible for any ill effects to any surfaces regarding this matter.

Media Release

The Client agrees to allow the Company to utilise any photos, descriptions, reviews, quotes, or videos of the property and/or the Client in the context of marketing or advertising for the Company. The Company will use these items without any compensation to the Client. The Client agrees not to seek punitive action in a civil court of law regarding the development, display, reproduction, or printing of the above examples of media. This includes the use of photos, testimonials, and videos posted or displayed on online venues such as social media and/or the Company’s website. No information regarding the property's address will be shared online unless approved by the Client.

Correction of Damages

Pristine Wash Ltd shall only be obligated under this Contract for structural damages which are a direct result of operator error, gross negligence, or willful misconduct. Damages must be discovered and reported within 3 calendar days of completion of service. If you find any damage that you believe was caused by our mistake, please formally report it to us via our email address (info@pristinewash.co.nz).

Upon receipt of written notice, The Company shall be allowed 30 calendar days from the date of receipt for the purpose of inspecting the premises. Pristine Wash Ltd shall have the sole option of repairing or contracting repair work to correct any structural damages that are a direct result of the Company's actions.

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the completion of the discussed work, unless alternate arrangements have been made and initialed on the service agreement.

Collection of Outstanding Debt

Pristine Wash Ltd reserves the right to enter small claims court to collect all outstanding debt. All legal fees incurred will be added to the remaining unpaid balance. This contract is binding. At 30 days past due, a formal notice of intent to file this claim will be sent via registered mail. An interest rate of 2% per month begins accruing after day 31 of non-payment.

Service-Specific Acknowledgments

Property Washing Acknowledgment

  • The Client understands that any pre-existing blemishes, flaws, or oxidation may be more noticeable after cleaning. The Client understands that the Company may not find every flaw and is not responsible if a flaw becomes more noticeable after the wash unless it is found to be due to negligence on the Company's part.

  • The Client understands that we recommend all outside electrical outlets and fixtures are shut off before arrival to complete washing service as an additional precaution. The Client also understands that if we provide a "site unseen" quote based on provided photos, we will not be able to note all flaws in exterior surfaces. If a site unseen quote is provided, the Client understands that our technicians will do their best to point out any such flaws on the day of cleaning.

  • The Client also understands that our cleaning solution is specifically designed for our cleaning services and will not cause any discoloration or damage.

  • The Client understands that during the property washing service they will receive a basic window rinse. This is not a comprehensive window cleaning service. A basic window rinse will remove most, if not all, debris from the windows, but there is a possibility of water spots. For a squeaky-clean shine on the windows, the added window cleaning service is recommended. We recommend removing your screens to allow any debris between the window and screen to be rinsed away during a house wash. If you are getting your windows cleaned, we recommend removing screens prior to work. Screens are very delicate, and if we are required to remove them, we cannot hold any responsibility if damage occurs.

  • Due to the acidic nature of bird droppings, there may be instances where the droppings have damaged the paint and cannot be removed entirely or may leave a slight stain.

  • For external window cleaning, windows need to be kept closed for the duration of the clean. All care will be taken to prevent ingress of water through windows, but no responsibility is accepted. A small amount of water ingress can sometimes be expected depending on seal condition, but this will be exacerbated if windows are not shut properly.

  • We avoid spraying any electrical components directly, but as they are all outdoors, it's expected that they can handle overspray and water running down the walls. No responsibility will be accepted for any water ingress or related issues.

  • Red clay cleaning requires special chemicals, resulting in an additional cleaning fee that is not included in a general house wash. Our formulated property wash solution is designed to remove organic matter. Graffiti and other inorganic aspects may require additional chemicals and will be charged accordingly.

Roof Cleaning Acknowledgment

Pristine Wash Ltd performs a quick inspection looking for simple issues on your roof (e.g., broken tiles, defective sealing, etc.). Photos before and after are always taken and sent to you upon request. Some of these issues can be fixed or addressed by our team with prior arrangements.

The Client understands that Pristine Wash Ltd is not a roofing company, and the inspection provided is a courtesy. The Client understands that a roofing professional should be contacted if there is any major concern about the inspection. The Client also understands that Pristine Wash Ltd is not responsible for any issues related to this inspection.

Gutter Cleaning Acknowledgment

  • In most cases, technicians will clean your gutters from a ladder. However, other alternatives such as utilising a telescopic pole, pressure washer, or accessing the gutters via the roof may be required. The Client understands that any specific cleaning method that differs from the methods mentioned above must be requested in advance. The Client also understands that if any other method is requested, an additional charge may apply.

  • The Client understands that if a downpipe is blocked, the technician will utilise different techniques to help clear and flush it. However, it is important to emphasise that our technicians are not plumbers, and in the case of a blocked downpipe that cannot be unblocked using our methods, Pristine Wash Ltd will not hold responsibility for it or obligation to solve this type of problem. The technicians do not hose the gutters every time they clean, only if it is required by the Client (additional charges may apply) and/or when they see the need for this.

Pressure Cleaning Acknowledgment

  • The Client understands that Pressure Cleaning is a cleaning service, and we cannot hold any responsibility if stains (oil, petrol, tire marks, etc.) are not completely removed after the pressure service. The Client acknowledges that additional chemicals may be needed to make the stain less obvious. However, our technicians will try their best to identify and point out any problematic stains prior to commencing.

  • The Client also understands that we are not responsible for previously existing loose and/or chipped tiles, damaged grout, as well as polymeric sand when cleaning pavers, and also for remaining debris after cleaning due to improper drainage. If the Client would like the pavers to be re-sanded, it can be done for an additional cost.

  • Stained and Painted Surfaces Disclaimer: The client acknowledges that painted or stained wood surfaces, including but not limited to decks, fences, retaining walls, and furniture, may have existing damage, peeling, or weakened finishes due to age and exposure to the elements. Our pressure washing process is intended to clean the surface, not to remove paint or stain. However, we are not liable for any paint or stain removal that may occur during the cleaning process as a result of pre-existing conditions.

Window Cleaning Acknowledgment

Windows are typically divided into four parts: glass, frame, track, and sill. The Client understands that the window cleaning service is primarily for the glass only. Any other services must be agreed upon in advance and described in the quotation.

Removal of any building materials (e.g., cement, paint, wood stain, silicone, adhesive tape, etc.) on the windows is not included in our standard window cleaning service, unless agreed upon in advance and described in the quotation.

Possibility of Cancellation by Company

Due to unforeseen circumstances (bad weather, vehicle or machinery maintenance, technician illness, etc.), your appointment may be moved to the next available business day. We will do our best to accommodate a quick reschedule but must work around other scheduled clients and weather conditions.

  6. Modification/Termination: We reserve the right to modify or terminate this discount offer at any time without prior notice. However, any jobs already qualified under these terms before such modification or termination will still receive the applicable discount.

Client Engagement

We value clear communication and a positive working relationship with all our clients. We reserve the right to decline any project or terminate our services at our sole discretion. This decision may be based on factors including, but not limited to, project scope alignment, resource availability, or the ability to maintain a productive and respectful professional environment. We aim to ensure the best possible outcome for every project and believe this discretion helps us uphold the quality of our services and client satisfaction.

Agreement to Terms

By accepting a quotation, the Client agrees that all the specifications and conditions outlined in this document are satisfactory and hereby accepted. You release Pristine Wash Ltd from property damage unless damage is caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. Pristine Wash Ltd is not responsible for damage to loose siding, windows, paint, or wood trim. Any damages due to the above are the responsibility of the owner.
